I went to Winter Park Colorado mid December for my first ever snowboarding trip. In my head this is what I was going to look like snowboarding.
Total fail! I took a lesson but the only thing I learned on my first day was how to fall on my booty. I got really good at spotting the ultra fluffy spots and tried to land on those areas as much as possible. Needless to say I ended up with purple/blue bruises all over (I have video that I will post later). There was this area where kids where learning to ski/snowboard . . . yeah that’s basically where I stayed the second day. There was no way I was going down that huge mountain again. Okay it wasn’t really huge but in my eyes (after rolling the whole way down the day before) it was ginormous. I mean really it was so sad, there were 5 year olds blazing past me like it was nothing. It was pretty cool watching them. I want to be awesome too!!!
If you’re wondering why I didn’t try skiing the answer is pretty simple. I’m hard headed. I was only there 3 days but I do intend on going back next December (unless I can find snow after April). For now I can cross snowboarding of my bucket list.
These are back country snowboarder couple and their dog. So cute I just had to take a picture.
This is looking up at that ginormous mountain I told you about. Yea I know, not ginormous at all.
In town at Winter Park, this is where we turned in our equipment.
Founders Pointe. This is looking outside from our lodging. Everything is so pretty. All in all it was a great trip and I can’t wait to go back!
